Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 27, 2026 · Last updated July 27, 2026
The short version. We collect as little as possible. Our readiness tools run in your browser and don't require an account. We only keep contact details when you actively give them to us — for example, when you ask us to follow up or you buy something. We don't sell your personal information. In a field built on protecting information, practicing that is part of the point.
1. Who we are
InitialEyes is operated by All-American Tech Services LLC (doing business as InitialEyes). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you request a follow-up, subscribe to updates, or contact us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email, company, and anything you write to us.
- Assessment inputs. When you use a readiness tool, the answers you toggle are used to compute your result. The free estimators run in your browser; we store your inputs only if you explicitly submit them to us (for example, to receive a report or a follow-up).
- Payment information. Purchases are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; we do not receive or store your full payment card information.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting processes standard server log data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed) to keep the site secure and operational. We do not use third-party website analytics or tracking.
3. How we use information
- To provide the tools, generate the reports and templates you request, and deliver what you purchase.
- To respond to you and, if you opted in, to send you updates you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service, and to meet legal and tax obligations.
4. Who we share it with (service providers)
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run the service, under contract and only as needed:
- Paddle — payments and Merchant-of-Record services.
- Hosting — Render (initialeyes.com) and Netlify (study.initialeyes.com) to serve the sites.
- AI-assisted report review — Anthropic. When we generate a readiness report, the report text — which may include your company name and the control status you self-report — is processed through the Anthropic API as part of an independent accuracy check before the report reaches you.
- Transactional email — Resend, to deliver report links, purchase confirmations, and service notifications.
- Email / newsletter — Substack (for the ScrutinEyes newsletter you opt into).
- Analytics — none. We do not use third-party website analytics.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
5. How long we keep it
We keep contact and purchase records only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal, accounting, and tax requirements, then delete or anonymize them. Assessment inputs you don't submit to us are not retained by us.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in the message.
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing alerts@initialeyes.com.
- Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or California privacy law), you may have additional rights, such as data portability or the right to object to certain processing. We honor applicable rights regardless of whether we are strictly required to.
7. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function, and no advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. Because we run no non-essential cookies or third-party analytics, no cookie-consent banner is required.
8. Security
The sites are served over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and we apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we design the service to hold as little personal data as possible, which limits exposure.
9. Children
InitialEyes is a business tool not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
